Wallet login
Login
Configure login in Ver.iD Studio and let users sign in to your existing portal with their wallet.
Wallet
The user confirms the login.
Ver.iD
Handles authentication.
Your portal
Links the account and determines access.
OIDC connection options include:
Add wallet login to your existing sign-in environment.
Ver.iD adds wallets as a sign-in option within your existing identity and access management (IAM) environment. You connect through OpenID Connect (OIDC), keeping your own accounts and access rules as the starting point.
Configure the wallets and requested information in Ver.iD Studio. The platform handles authentication and wallet exchange, including management of the required registration and access certificates and associated keys.
Add wallets to your existing sign-in environment.
Connect your application or existing IAM platform through OpenID Connect (OIDC). Your sign-in environment receives the authentication result from Ver.iD through this standard. Your existing accounts and access rules remain the starting point.
Your application or IAM platform validates the result and handles account linking, sessions and access. You can also connect directly from your application without a separate IAM platform.

Delivers the authentication result through OIDC.
Your IAM platform
Validates the result and links the identity according to your account policy.
Your applications
Use the existing sign-in environment and access rules.
Let the platform manage certificates and keys.
Ver.iD handles wallet exchange and manages the required registration and access certificates and associated keys. Your organisation uses these facilities through the platform; Ver.iD provides their specialist management.
This management is part of the product, including when your team configures and integrates login itself. The certificates required depend on your connection and the applicable trust framework.

Decide which information your login needs.
Configure wallets and requested information for each login configuration in Studio. Scopes define which supported information your application can request. This lets you tailor login to the information your service needs.
Available scopes depend on the selected wallets and configuration. You also manage the redirect URI and your organisation's presentation in Studio.

What you need for your login.
A login configuration in Studio
An active configuration with the wallets, required information and redirect URIs for your application.
A connected application or IAM platform
Your environment supports OpenID Connect, starts the login request and validates the authentication result.
Clear account and access rules
Decide how to link an identity to an account and who gets access. Your own environment manages sessions and recovery, and starts no new session after an invalid or cancelled request.
Practical questions about login.
- Which wallets and information can I use?
- Studio shows the wallets and information available for your login configuration. Check the combination you want to use and test it with your application.
- Can someone use a different wallet with the same account?
- They can if your application or IAM platform establishes that the new identity belongs to the same account. Another wallet may produce a different user identifier; a matching name or email address is not proof of that link.
- What if someone can no longer use their wallet?
- Your organisation decides how someone recovers their account or uses another configured sign-in method. Recovery of the wallet itself is the wallet provider's responsibility.
- Does closing the wallet end the portal session?
- Closing the wallet does not automatically end the portal session. Your application or IAM platform determines the session duration and logout.
